How We Work

Our Research Methodology

The 5-Step Editorial Process

At Decisive Supply, our goal is to eliminate the marketing noise and give you direct, actionable advice based on clinical evidence. Here is exactly how we evaluate every topic and product.

Step 1: Identifying the Problem

We don't review supplements just because they are trendy. We start with the actual problems men are trying to solve: improving sleep architecture, managing stress, supporting natural testosterone production, or optimizing fertility. We frame our research around the biological mechanisms of these goals.

Step 2: Analyzing the Clinical Data

We completely ignore marketing materials and go straight to clinical databases like PubMed. When reading a study, we look for:

  • Human Trials: Rat and petri dish studies are interesting, but they do not prove efficacy in humans.
  • Sample Size: A study on 5 people is anecdotal; a meta-analysis of 5,000 people is actionable.
  • Funding Sources: We check if the study was paid for by the company selling the ingredient. If it was, we treat the results with high skepticism.

Step 3: Determining Clinical Dosing

This is where 90% of supplement brands fail. A brand will claim their product contains Ashwagandha, which has proven benefits. However, the studies showing benefits used 600mg per day, while the supplement only contains 50mg. We identify the exact dosages required to replicate clinical results.

Step 4: Evaluating Third-Party Testing

Because the supplement industry is self-regulated, we prioritize products that prove what is on their label is actually in the bottle. We look for major certifications (NSF Certified for Sport, Informed Sport, USP) or transparent brands that publish up-to-date Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for heavy metals and label accuracy.

Step 5: Finding Affordable Options

Health should not be a luxury. We explicitly avoid recommending "premium" brands that charge a 300% markup for basic ingredients. We hunt for the best intersection of high quality, clinical dosing, and reasonable pricing.

Our Independence Guarantee

We never accept free products in exchange for a positive review. We never do paid sponsorships. While we do use affiliate links to support the site, we frequently recommend products that pay us zero commission simply because they are the best option for our readers.
